Tornado

I went to get some groceries after workout at YMCA.
Then tornado siren went off.
I got stranded at Hyvee for about one hour.
Customers were told to shelter in the back room.
We were all safe but frustrated.

Geeky Website

Seatguru is a website for those who love to study seat layout on the airplanes.
I often check aircrafts for my favorite DL and ANA.
On the other hand, I try to avoid AA and UA based on people's reviews.

Web Managine

There is one web magazine I love to read.
The Points Guy is a travel magazine discussing credit cards, lounges, deals, etc.
I wish I could download contents so that I could enjoy reading on the airplanes.

App has issues

I am not able to upload photos from my cell phone but decided to keep using this blog. It would be like Twitter but better than nothing.

New Car

I bought 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 and traded in 2007 Chevy Cobalt. I chose blue car this time. G4 gas an excellent gas mileage, and I am very excited. Good bye, Cobalt.

Hyvee Gas

I transferred prescription and earned $1per gallon discount for gas.
I only paid $3.16 for the full tank of gas (12 gallons)!

Lincoln, Illinois

I found a great deal in Priceline.
2.5 star for only $47.
However, no smoking room is not guaranteed.
I also checked Hotwire and found a similar deal for smoke free room.
I ended up with Holiday Inn Express including hot breakfast and inside pool.

Delta flying to Haneda Airport

I visited Tokyo for couple weeks around the New Years Day and would like to share Delta Airlines now offers a direct flight from Minneapolis to Haneda Airport.
Haneda Airport is located near the downtown and much closer than Narita Airport (about 45 miles away).
Haneda Airport expanded runways and accepted more international flights as well as domestic flights.
Someone posted several photos of Delta 121 landing and taking off the airport, and I thought you would enjoy the website.

I have been looking for a good mechanic in Macomb and finally found one!
Webb Automotive, successor of A & E Auto Repair, repaired minor issues Cobalt had.
An eight years old car with 85,000 miles is ready for the winter.

Mitsubishi Outlander 2016

After Sunfire 1996 retired, we welcomed Mitsubishi Outlander 2016.

Abby drives Outlander with kids and I drive Cobalt 2007 to work.
It is a crossover SUV, and we are happy about space and gas mileage.

It recorded 1,000 miles today!

Ponderosa Steakhouse

This restaurant was convenient for family with small children.
However, the restaurant announced its closure after the labor day weekend.
I may have eaten too much shrimp in the past.

Abby has played the flute at the church twice.
I recorded the sound and stored at the following location.

Crazy Buffet

I know it is a strange name, but this Chinese restaurant we found in Galesburg was great.
A cost is incredible; only $4.99 for lunch and $6.99 for dinner.
Compared to World Buffet, it may be less flavor but enough selections.
We may prefer this restaurant to Best Buffet in Quincy.
Good discovery!

Age

Two servers at Golden Corral in Alton asked me how old I am.
They seemed to bet for fun but guessed wrong (early 20s).
Well, I should feel better.

High School Reunion

20th reunion in Onawa, IA.
I joined the afternoon session at the club house.
Nice to see my friends.

Fulton County

John Adams and I drove 700 miles for the last thee days.
A mission was identifying missing or unknown addresses for Fulton County 911.
Even though condition of the rural streets was not great, we enjoyed seeing the scenery along the streets.

Rain Gutters

We have installed new rain gutters on our house.
The old gutters were old and rusted, which caused minor water leak to our basement during heavy rain.
New gutters made of aluminium would last longer and prevent the water issues.
There have been several home improvements this year.
